Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
