Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
