The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
