Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 Indeed, it is an evil abode and evil dwelling-place." 66 Who are neither prodigal nor miserly in their spending but follow a middle path; 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection is his punishment, and therein he shall live, humbled, 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 And whoever repents and does good deeds – so he has inclined towards Allah with repentance as was required. 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 And they who, when reminded of the communications of their Lord, do not fall down thereat deaf and blind. 73 And who submit, “Our Lord, soothe our eyes with our wives and our children, and make us leaders of the pious.” 74 They will all receive Paradise as their reward for their forbearance and patience, where they will be greeted with, "Peace be with you." 75 There they shall abide forever: a blessed dwelling and a blessed resting place. 76 Say: My Lord would not care for you were it not for your prayer; but you have indeed rejected (the truth), so that which shall cleave shall come. 77
