Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
