Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
