And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
