Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
