Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
