Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
