O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
