Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
