And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
