The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise belongs to God, Lord of the Universe, 2 The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Direct us on to the Straight Way, 6 The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
