Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif Lam Mim 1 (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Will they say: he hath fabricated it? Aye! it is the truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest warn therewith a people unto whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may be guided. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is betwixt the twain in six days, and then He established Himself on the throne. No patron have ye nor an intercessor besides Him. Will ye not then be admonished? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
