We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
