The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
