As the caravan departed, their father said: 'I smell the scent of Joseph, unless you think I am foolish' 94 They answered: "By God! Thou art indeed still lost in thy old aberration!" 95 And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast it over his face, and he returned [once again] seeing. He said, "Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?" 96 They said: O our father! Ask forgiveness of our sins for us, for lo! we were sinful. 97 He said, "I shall certainly ask my Lord to forgive you. Surely, He is the Most Forgiving and Merciful." 98 So, when they entered unto Joseph, he took his father and mother into his arms saying, 'Enter you into Egypt, if God will, in security.' 99 And he raised his parents to the highest place of honour; and they [all] fell down before Him, prostrating themselves in adoration. Thereupon [Joseph] said: "O my father! This is the real meaning of my dream of long ago, which my Sustainer has made come true. And He was indeed good to me when He freed me from the prison, and [when] He brought you [all unto me] from the desert after Satan had sown discord between me and my brothers. Verily, my Sustainer is unfathomable in [the way He brings about] whatever He wills: verily, He alone is all-knowing, truly wise! 100 ۞ “O my Lord! you have given me a kingdom* and have taught me how to interpret some events; O Creator of the heavens and the earth – you are my Supporter in the world and in the Hereafter; cause me to die as a Muslim, and unite me with those who deserve Your proximity.” (* Prophethood and the rule over Egypt. Prophet Yusuf said this prayer while his death approached him.) 101 These are some tidings of the Hidden which We divinely reveal to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and you were not with them when they set their task and when they were scheming. 102 And most men will not believe though you desire it eagerly. 103 You shall not ask them for any reward for this. It is but a reminder for all mankind. 104
