Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
