Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 that hide, 16 and the night that falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
