So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and by what you do not see, 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 43 Had Muhammad invented some words against Us. 44 We would have seized him by the right hand 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). 48 And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters. 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. 52
