The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated over it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
