Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
