The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
