The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9
