Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
