Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And He it is who causes the night and the day to succeed one another, [revealing Himself in His works] unto him who has the will to take thought - that is has the will to be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 And those who spend their nights bowed and standing before their Lord; 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly but keep the golden mean between the two (extremes): 67 And they who do not call upon another god with Allah and do not slay the soul, which Allah has forbidden except in the requirements of justice, and (who) do not commit fornication and he who does this shall find a requital of sin; 68 The punishment shall be doubled to him on the day of resurrection, and he shall abide therein in abasement; 69 Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance. 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 73 And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74 They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
