The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
