۞ It was He who created you from a single soul, and from it made its mate so that he may find comfort in her. Once he has covered her, she conceives and goes about with a light burden. When it grows heavy, they both call to God, their Lord, "If You bestow on us a healthy child, we will surely be grateful," 189 But when He vouchsafes them a healthy child, they attribute to Him partners regarding what Allah had bestowed upon them. Subliminally exalted is Allah above that which they associate with Him. 190 Do they associate with Him those who create nothing and are themselves created? 191 and neither are able to give them succour nor can succour themselves, 192 It makes no difference whether you call on them or remain silent. If you call them to the right path, they will not follow you. 193 Verily those whom ye call upon besides Allah are servants like unto you: Call upon them, and let them listen to your prayer, if ye are (indeed) truthful! 194 Have they feet to walk with? Have they hands to hold with? Have they eyes to see with? Have they ears to hear with? Say, "Call upon those you associate with God as partners, then all of you contrive against me and give me no respite. 195 The (true) Guardian is certainly God who has revealed the Book and is the Guardian of the righteous ones. 196 And those whom ye call upon besides Him cannot succour you nor themselves they can succour. 197 (Muhammad), if you invite them to the right guidance, they will not listen to you. You will see them looking at you but they do not really see. 198 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) adopt forgiveness, and enjoin virtue, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is Hearing and Knowing. 200 When a satanic thought starts to bother the pious ones, they understand and see the light 201 And their brethren increase them in error, then they cease not. 202 And when you bring them not a revelation they say: Why do you not forge it? Say: I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord; these are clear proofs from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. 203 When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy. 204 And remember thou thy Lord within thyself with humility and fear, without loudness in word, in the morning and evenings; and be thou not of the negligent. 205 Verily those who are with thy Lord are not stiff-necked against His worship, and they hallow, and unto Him they prostrate themselves. ۩ 206
