Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 From the guilty. 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
