The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
