The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 The rising dawn, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
