We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 The Lord will say, "Do not argue in My presence; I had certainly sent you a warning. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
