And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink. 33 if you obey a human being just like yourselves, then you will surely be lost. 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ Far-fetched, far-fetched indeed is what you are promised! 36 There is nothing but our present life; we die, and we live, and we shall not be resurrected. 37 He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." 38 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 39 He said, 'In a little they will be remorseful.' 40 And then the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk! 41 After them We brought another generation into existence. 42 No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not. 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they denied them and were of those destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might be guided. 49 And We made the son of Maryam (Mary) and his mother as a sign, And We gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams. 50
