Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
