And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
