The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
