We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
