Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember You much: 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
