Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
