Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 and the severally severing 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
