Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me. 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth 42 Be firm in devotion; give zakat (the due share of your wealth for the welfare of others), and bow with those who bow (before God). 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 Seek help with the Salat and fortitude: no doubt, Salat is a hard task but not for those obedient servants, 45 (They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return. 46
