۞ And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an that they might be reminded. 51 (As to) those whom We gave the Book before it, they are believers in it. 52 And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe in it. Verily, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed even before it we have been from those who submit themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims (like 'Abdullah bin Salam and Salman Al-Farisi, etc.). 53 They will be given double the reward, the recompense of their patience – and they repel evil with good, and spend part of what We have provided them. 54 And when they hear Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk), they withdraw from it and say: "To us our deeds, and to you your deeds. Peace be to you. We seek not the ignorant." 55 You cannot guide whom you please; it is Allah who guides whom He will. He knows well those who are guided. 56 They say, "If we were to follow your guidance, we should be uprooted from our land." But have We not established for them a safe haven to which fruits of every kind are brought as a provision from Ourself? But most of them have no knowledge. 57 And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors. 58 Your Lord would not destroy a town until He had sent to its centre a Messenger who would recite to them Our verses. Nor would We destroy any town unless its inhabitants were iniquitous. 59 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life and its adornment; and what is with God is better and more enduring. 60
