No, by the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
