Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
