And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 but they gave the lie to Our Signs, to all of them. Thereupon We seized them with the seizing of the Most Mighty, the Most Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
