And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
