And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers." 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
