Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
