T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
